At first glance, this pale grey ball lamp is the perfect example of less is more. But take a second look and youll see why this little lamp packs such a punch.

The ball profile of the lamps base is highlighted by its imperfect profile, as though hand made. The colours are highlighted by the wavy dividing line and by the two contrasting finishes, one matt the other imperfectly spotted with an irregular glaze.

The cone lamp shade with its tapered angular profile creates the perfect contrast to highlight the circular shape of the base.

Every horizontal line echoes a shallow curve: the gentle curve of the bi-colour glaze finishes, the curves of the base profile and the gentle curve of the circular shade.
